The following is the transcript of an interview by Stampedecity with Michael Carey:

Stampedecity: What advice can you give to someone that wants to sing professionally?

Michael: Three things I've been taught that I always go by:

1- Don't let your success go to your head, don't let your failures go to your heart, and try to stay away from people who do.

2- Focus and work on your talents and what makes you unique. Keep your eyes locked on your own goals and don't worry about what others think.

3. Don't make music everything in your life. Education is important and you have to make sure that if music doesn't work out for you, you have other things to fall back on.

Stampedecity:Do you work other than singing?

Michael: I have a couple of part time jobs that I work. I've designed a website for a business and am currently maintaining it and I work for the same company as a detailer in the shop.

Stampedecity: What made you decide to go into music?

Michael: I've loved music since I can remember, when I was 5 or 6 years old, my mom put me in classical voice training. I took voice lessons for about 2 years, and performed a bit while I was taking them. Things just kind of snowballed from there.

Stampedecity: Do you get nervous before a performance?

Michael: Not anymore. Now it's all adrenaline!

Stampedecity: What's your all time favorite song?

Michael:I'm trying to write it now. ;)

Stampedecity: What's the best thing about being a performer?

Michael:It gives me so much satisfaction to jump on a stage and perform because if I do it right, I'm bound to touch someone with my music.

Stampedecity: Is there a bad side to the music business?

Michael: Every business has a bad side. On the whole, the music business is great. The vast majority of the people are awesome.

Stampedecity: Who's your boss?

Michael: The audience is my boss. My job is to relay emotions to the audience, when I feel it coming back to me, I know I've done a good job.

Stampedecity: Do you have a manager?

Michael:Yes, Paul Whitteker from SDk Entertainment.

Stampedecity: One final question..Do you have a steady girlfriend? :)

Michael: No, I don't have a girlfriend at the moment. I figure that because I'm so busy with school and music that things would probably fall apart on me. :)

Stampedecity:Thank you for your time today Michael.

Michael: It has been my pleasure! :)
